About the Artwork
This piece is called “future compassion” its part of a new series of back ink pieces I am creating its a piece that represents war between the have and have nots and the sacrifices some are willing to take for the future they have chosen or some have not but have been forced into certain situations in life but they still continue to fight and live. That’s the spirit a-lot of us have these days. Forced into conflict and in the end, the bigger scheme of it all some select group is getting rich out of our sacrifices. I intend to speak mind now through my work these days injustice is all over the place and I always believe that as an artist we have to stand up against it I have people i look up to who have done the same and they have inspired me to do the same.good over evil always.
About the Artist
Born July 16 1988 the artist known as formally as Juan Miguel Bermudez (Mikko).
Like any other real artist, Mikko grew up knowing he wanted to make art–he wanted to create things. He recalls a day in kindergarten when he first developed this curiosity. As time drew on he discovered many different art styles that he would enjoy using and learning; he thinks himself a student of art, like a sponge that absorbs knowledge from the great ones.
He began a life-long challenge to further hone his craft and discover his own style and approach to his craft. And he did this in the College of Fine Arts at the University of Santo Tomas where his skills grew with his character.
He uses his emotions to create his art. He is inspired by many many different artists he admires the work they have done and wishes to be respected like the masters he follows. His mind cannot stick to just one style he is an explorer and a risk-taker he doesn’t know what is to become of the piece he is making he just lets his hand go. He doesn’t like to think about the end product because to him there is no end and there is no perfect creation all he knows is that his art makes him happy. This is his way.
