About the Artist

Born in Manila, Philippines into a family of highly creative people, Romina was raised in the boom of Filipino modern art. She grew up beside great artists like Cesar Legaspi, Olazo, Gus Albor, Lee Aguinaldo, Onib Olmedo, Ben Cab and Justin Nuyda. Her Father himself is an artist. Growing up inside a contemporary art gallery, She was fortunate enough to see thousands of paintings come in and out of her house, becoming familiar with their different styles and expressions.

Abstraction has always been part of her life and She continues to look for it in daily objects and moments. She left the Philippines for Italy to study art and came to fall in love with Photography. A medium that no one in her house could criticise since it wasn’t part of their forte. In Florence, She specialised in the new language of multi-media art allowing her to venture into mixing visual art, photography, installation and video.
