From Every Point of View, Viewed in Every Light, which will take form as a series of group exhibitions in three parts. This project is conceived to partake in such inquiries as, ‘how do artists navigate the vicissitudes of image-making while placing concept above form?’ In other words, how, with reference to Filipino artists, does the strain of ‘conceptualism’ impact contemporary artists who produce work in more conventional forms like painting, sculpture, and collage?

Through the selection of artists, the project aims to showcase works that loosely reflect the tradition of conceptualism in their works. Whether these concerns range from highly abstracted ideas to images that immerse themselves in the figurative and the real, the framework offered to view these works is that they had materialized through the vantage point of artists who dwell foremost on ‘ideas’ or strategic concepts and processes, rather than the final image. Artists who have become known for tackling both areas of conceptual works will spearhead the group, such as Max Balatbat, MM Yu, and Luis Santos among others
