Introducing “Artist in a Box”, Modeka’s Artist Residency Program
MODEKA Creative Space offers a multidisciplinary and experimental residency for emerging and established visual artists.
ABOUT THE ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM
The residency provides artists with a dedicated studio within Modeka’s gallery space, named “The GlassBox”.
The GlassBox is a 20 SQ M mezzanine enclosed in glass walls which stands above the gallery’s main floor. The transparent walls provide a unique visual connection within the two spaces, as well an interactive platform between resident artist and gallery visitors.
The Modeka residency is designed to foster engagement, collaboration and professional growth. In light of the open nature of the studio space, artists are encouraged to actively engage in the curation of the environment as well as the interaction with visitors, guests and other artists who may visit the gallery — extending the opportunities of exploring their artistic expression outside of their traditional medium.
