OPENING May 14 | RUNS UNTIL , Aug 14, 2021
Modeka Art is pleased to present its first pop-up exhibition at KMC Solutions Podium West Tower, featuring some of the most exciting Filipino and international contemporary artists who have exhibited at the gallery. By bringing art outside of the gallery setting and to wider audiences at the office space, Modeka Art’s collaboration with KMC furthers its vision of building workplace environments “to inspire clients and employees to innovate, collaborate and achieve greatness.”
Art has a much deeper role in the workplace beyond the benefits of aesthetic beauty. When artworks leave the gallery walls and move to new environments, they take on new contexts. They create an atmosphere of dynamism by encouraging creativity, sparking conversations, providing new perspectives and
boosting mental wellbeing, all of which improve professional performance. Within a workspace, they can enhance corporate identity and brand values and enrich the daily grind of the employee/visitor experience. Art also connects its viewers
with the greater community. Institutions that collect or display art are able to exercise a social responsibility in supporting culture. It is important to bring these multiple aspects of art to light, to bring awareness on how art can uplift society in different ways.

This selection from Modeka’s archives forms a diverse collection, with myriad styles in painting, sculpture and photography. They are the works of living artists—voices of the moment we are in. Installing them as intriguing juxtapositions brings energy and content to the vibrant design of KMC’s workspaces. One year into the pandemic, it is more relevant than ever to reinvigorate ways of working and thinking, and forge meaningful partnerships that
tackle areas of common concern and collective identity.

ABOUT KMC PODIUM WEST TOWER
Reimagine Your Workspace
Elements from the hospitality industry are purposefully put into KMC podium West Tower to create a more relaxing and homey environment for people to feel comfortable in, hence work does not necessarily have to feel like work. Therefore, their wellbeing becomes a further priority rather than focusing on maximizing the amount of output they deliver.
Unlike hotel guests, workers rarely question or evaluate their overall experience in a workspace and instead are content with having a place to simply work. KMC wants to change this disposition by adopting experience and user-driven design in their flexible workspaces & serviced offices and supplying the higher demand for less structured office setups. This, in turn, encourages workers to be more productive, opens them up to opportunities for collaborative encounters, and adds to the growth of their business.
With more people spending the majority of their hours inside an office, it makes sense for work, hospitality, and socializing environments to intersect. KMC strives for this refreshing take on workplace design to put the wellness and comfort of workers at the forefront.
