She is self-taught in several mediums, but had an early inkling towards oil painting and learnt by studying works from old masters. Her subject matter is often presented as a vestige of portraits, still life, landscapes, oftentimes spun in with spontaneous confessional writings,or type/letters. She offsets the austerity and solemnity of these imageries through injections of humoristic sarcasm, confrontations of survival, beauty in strangeness, or unsettling displacement — all rooted from observations of daily life and her personal experiences.

Galaxie is a Visual Arts graduate of Philippine High School For The Arts, and a Writing Major in BA Communication Arts at the University of the Philippines, Los Banos. She has participated in group shows in Brazil, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and the United States. She was formerly a product designer for lifestyle brands, Quiksilver & Roxy Australia, and an art director with the world’s leading media agency, GroupM. She is currently based in Manila, working as a full time creative artist focusing on visual art (traditional & digital), art direction, design, and typography.
