Rescue Siargao

Rescue.Siargao was created locally 5 days after the devastating Typhoon Odette - serving as a visual platform relating information, spotlighting heartwarming initiatives, and maintaining awareness to date. Put together by a group of creatives, it felt natural to use our skills and personal ways of expression for a good cause. We are showcasing a selection of our favorite artists from the island to raise funds for the island.

We aim to bring a piece of Siargao to Manila, to sensitize, inform, and arouse compassion. - Siargao still needs your help!

We would like to focus our support on helping the Farmers. Their farms were completely obliterated by the storm. We want to help them grow healthy crops for the community, create self-sufficiency, and get their livelihood back.

A little help goes a long way! 70% of the profits will go directly to this cause. More than our direct way to help, this Exhibit was inspired by the beauty within destruction, the resilience of each inhabitant of the island, their smiles and their strength, by the hope deeply felt with every new leaf seen, and by this strong energy that is very specific to Siargao. It is with very different styles, eyes, and tools that each artist gives us a glimpse of their vision of Siargao and what Siargao brings to them.

Some highlight the beauty of Siargao through a poetic and sensitive approach, as Camille Robiou Du Pont does via her transportive photography (@camillerdp). Others opt for the creative process of using treasures found on the island. Taking advantage of how the natural elements shape their looks and end up expressing so much. Davide Barbi has an eye for spotting these special pieces and using their unique stories to create a new one, once combined (@davidebarbi.artlab). Gringograss’s ever creative world represents the specific and captivating energy of Siargao (@gringograss) . Luis Lopa, brings softness, soothing vibes and security with pastel like compositions (@luislopa). Charlotte Lamy frames on typhoon kissed papers, daily scenes of a blooming island post typhoon (@ricenoodlepotato).
