In a future where humanity risks losing its essence, “Human Noise” invites viewers to reflect on the profound beauty of imperfection. Through thousands (literally thousands) of meticulously hand painted elements, this series reveals abstract landscapes that echo the calm yet turbulent energy of the human condition like a visual metaphor for our inner selves.

Each detail is crafted using custom tools i created myself, and it is through compositional uniformity and repetition that a deeper story unfolds. Every stroke is a thought, a feeling, or a fleeting memory of what it means to be human. Together, the lines, shapes, and lights weave a tapestry of emotions, capturing the echoes of an imperfect humanity in a world increasingly obsessed with perfection.

To me, “Human Noise” is more than a visual experience; it is an invitation to pause, listen and feel the hum of what remains within us.

Yusk Imai (b. 1982, Chicago, USA) is a self-taught artist born to a Japanese father and a Brazilian mother. His artistic journey began through skateboarding, which led him to discover graffiti in the early 2000s—a moment he describes as the realization of himself as an artist. Without ever planning for an art career, invitations to exhibit his work kept coming, leading to his debut solo exhibition in São Paulo in 2007.
