WALANG KIYEME
There is no straightforward concept for this exhibition. It is just a culmination of moods and fantasies, ideas and gut feels that are as young as a week-old and as old as from years ago. A feeling is usually where I start with a project, or a piece of work and a certain facetiousness was the general mood in the production of these works. In the spirit of irony poked at the direction of how fussy art making can be, over intellectualisation was consciously, but not entirely successfully avoided. A flippant struggle with old and newish ideas, materials, and processes -to me at least, was kind of an agenda throughout the duration of this project. Having fun was the main goal though.

About the Artists.
Kiko Escora is a prolific artist that cannot be placed in a single box. He is easily able to use different mediums in creating his art – from paintings and sculptures, to fashion, installation, and graphic design. His works are based on what he considers “stylized versions of his reality” or sometimes what his audiences consider being “cool” and “edgy”. Besides this, he also finds inspiration from music, history, design, and dreams.
Kiko Escora was awarded CCP’s 13 Artist Award back in 2003. He has exhibited in countries such as Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Spain.
