Ay namamahinga
At nagpapatay ng oras.
Hawiin ang lumbay
Ng pag-iisip
At isilid sa pinakatago-tagong
Sulok ng puso.
Maaari mo nang hubarin
Ang bigat ng katawan
At malaong isabit
Sa angkla ng sanga.
Wala ka bang naririnig?
Mga yabag iyon
Ng mga ninunong
Bitbit ang kanilang pamana.
Matagal nang nananaig
Ang kasamaan sa mundo.
Ang kailangang sandata
Ay ang pagkabuo ng loob.
Tumangis kung maaari.
Ang mga luhang papatak
Ay magiging bulaklak
Na hahalakhak sa labi.

Lynyrd Paras
Born in Manila, A multidisciplinary artist. artworks of Lynyrd Paras provides a new meaning to portraits and depictions of the self. His works produce a melancholic feeling and allow us to become critical of our actions in a fast-paced world. Paras has been a recipient of various awards including the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ 13 Artists Awardee in 2018. His works has been widely exhibited in several galleries and museums throughout the Philippines as well as in other countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, and New York, USA and London.
