BIOGRAPHY
Marlo Montoya's artistic investigation is a sort of archaeology of web images.
Marlo Montoya was born in Pereira, Colombia, in 1986. He moved to Barcelona, Spain, at the age of 10. After graduating in 2005, he enrolled in the drawing and painting course at the Barcelona Academy of Art. During his academic studies, he also approached the world of photography, pursuing a path of study and experimentation.
Marlo's artistic investigation is a sort of archaeology of web images. In 2018, 1.31 trillion digital photographs were taken and ended up on the internet servers. Search engines therefore become the artist's archaeological sites.
